Access Card Readers

Access control allows for the monitoring of entrance of personnel into a location or facility, including the operation of electronic locking devices such as electronic locks, electric strikes, and electrified retraction panic bars. Access control also maintains an ongoing history or log of times of entry, and can restrict entry by individuals and by various time schedules.

Access Control Systems
can be integrated as part of a multi leveled security system. Card Access Control Systems can be utilized in an elaborate Master Key System without ever needing to re-key a lock. Access Card Systems can be easily programmed, edited, restricted or deleted and reassigned again. Access Card Readers not only control physical access but can also turn on other devices (surveillance System) included or integrated into the security system.

Access Control System Technology:
Door access control systems have improved dramatically over the years. The early units were rather limited and complicated to set up. They were equipped with basic card readers and all the controls located back at the circuit board. Over the years more elaborate devices were making it to the market, now most of the processing is located at the reader near the door. Now the latest IP type card readers are using Ethernet network and are simpler to install and more cost effective.

Access Control System Plan:
In order to design a compatible access control system one has to keep in mind several factors. The type of facility, size of the building, number of doors, the material the doors are made of, condition of door and frame structures and the current door and locking hardware. It is critical that all doors, frames and locks are in good working condition before the access control system can be designed. In some cases the door hardware, locking hardware, need to be updated in order to support the designated security system. Proper locking hardware must be chosen depending on the level of security one wants to establish.

Security and safety go hand in hand. Our qualified technicians can perform all the necessary repairs, replacement, reconstruction or modification to the doors, door frames, door hardware and door locks to insure the proper functionality and overall performance of the security system that must comply with building and fire codes.

Today’s Access Control technology allows many well designed security systems to be integrated and or extended in order to establish higher levels of security, better system management for clients and more efficient ways for security professionals to provide service.
